Alisa Burleson
Director- CPTED Assessments and Training
With more than 23 years of expertise in community development, tourism, and commercial recreation, Alisa Burleson is a seasoned Community Development Specialist and certified Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Practitioner. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Commercial Recreation from the University of South Alabama, a Redevelopment Administrator certification (FRA-RA) from the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA), and a CPTED Practitioner certification through the Florida Attorney General’s Office in partnership with the National Institute on Crime Prevention (NICP).
Alisa currently provides training to community leaders, planners, and law enforcement on the core principles and practical application of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) in their communities. In addition, she serves as the Western Regional Director for both the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) and the Florida Design Out Crime Association (FLDOCA). Alisa also lends her expertise to several committees, including the FRA Academy, FRA Education and Professional Development, and US CPTED Membership, Recruitment & Outreach.
Alisa’s diverse background spans hospitality management, multifamily housing management, parks and recreation leadership, and community redevelopment. Her service to three municipalities and a county tourism board has enriched her perspective and skill set as a Community Development Specialist.
In her current role with Lionheart International Services Group, Alisa leverages her comprehensive experience and education to help communities and organizations foster vibrant, safe environments for residents, employees, and visitors alike.
